What Can I Expect To Hear?

Well first of all come expecting to be entertained! The information for each event will give you more details of who is on that night and what type of music they play.

Performers at Radical Liverpool will draw music from a wide range of styles and traditions: The English folk tradition; The Irish and Liverpool Irish tradition; The Blues and Country traditions; The US and Australian folk and protest tradition – Woody Guthrie, Peggy Seeger, Judy Small and similar; Humorous songs, and songs to join in and sing along with!

You are also likely to hear some high quality original material that you will never have come across before but you will want to hear again.

And as the name Radical Liverpool suggests, as well as the usual cheerful themes of love, loss, betrayal and death, we are well connected to the roots of protest and struggle in all these types of music. We bring that up to date with music that relates to what is going on now. So there may be songs of resistance and struggle, trade union songs, feminist songs, anti-racist songs, and music on other radical themes and events.
